GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

National Thank a Teacher Day

Our Headteacher Mrs Roberts was delighted to be invited to Aureus School today to see Amy King, Head of Creative Arts, receive the Silver Award for the Pearson National Teaching Awards as part of the National Thank A Teacher Day celebrations. Miss King received this national award for her commitment to providing fantastic opportunities for students to enjoy the arts, from dance clubs to popular shows at Aureus School and had been nominated in the ‘Teacher of the Year in a Secondary’. National Thank A Teacher Day celebrates and shines a light on the life-changing work that takes place in education across the country. The silver award winners announced today will all be eligible for a gold award, which will be announced in November. #Aureusschool
